Thank you for visiting our web site. Forest City has so much to see and enjoy that we encourage you to visit us, but be warned, you may never leave.
We are located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains of North Carolina. Our town is very close to major cities but we have maintained that family atmosphere that is the heart of our community.
Walk down our main street and enjoy our hospitality. Visit one of our restaurants, coffee shop, or our local drug store. In baseball season take in a game and watch our national championship team. Stay the weekend and visit our local sites as well as other areas of interest that are just a short drive away. While you are here please attend a church of your choice. You will find our town charming, clean, and friendly.

FREE MULCH DISCONTINUED
TOWN OF FOREST CITY
Due to an overwhelming response to the offer of free mulch on Tuesdays the supply has been depleted. The Town of Forest City will no longer offer free mulch. You may call the waste treatment plant at 248-5217 to ask if mulch is available for a loading fee.
