Incidents
  • An officer of the Forest City Police Dept. reported an incident of larceny and resisting a public officer. (See arrest of Whiteside)
  • Jennifer Deaton reported an incident of breaking and entering, larceny and damage to property.
  • An officer of the Forest City Police Dept. reported an incident of resisting a public officer, hit and run, possession of marijuana and possession of controlled substance on jail premises. (See arrest of Taylor)
  • Darrion Thompson reported an incident of obtain property by false pretense.

Arrests
  • Casey Ryan Tate, age 26, of Third St. in Union Mills, was arrested for second degree trespassing. He received a $500 secured bond.
  • Kailyn Leroy Flack, age 21, of Poors Ford Rd. in Rutherfordton, was arrested for identity theft and also served with warrants for misdemeanor probation violations, two counts of felony probation violation, two counts of resisting a public officer, driving while license revoked-violation of limited driving privilege, reckless driving, no insurance, allow a motor vehicle to be driven without registration, possession of stolen property, flee to elude arrest, assault on a female and larceny. He received a $133,500 secured bond.
  • Isaiah Nathaniel Whiteside, age 18, of Summerdale Lane in Lake Lure, was arrested for larceny and resisting a public officer. He received a $100 secured bond.
  • Gary Siair Thomas, age 23, of W. Main St. in Forest City, was arrested for injury to personal property, attempted breaking and entering, attempted first degree burglary, possession of stolen property, seven counts of breaking and entering, four counts of breaking and entering to a motor vehicle, six counts of larceny after breaking and entering and three counts of larceny. He received a $110,000 secured bond.
  • DeShawn Marquis Phillips, age 24, of 2nd St. in Forest City, was arrested on a warrant for assault on a female. He received a 48 hour hold.
  • Lamontre Deshawn Taylor, age 21, of Trailwood Dr. in Forest City, was arrested for resisting a public officer, hit and run, possession of marijuana and possession of controlled substance on jail premises. He received a $16,000 secured bond.
