Incidents
  • An employee of Ingles reported an incident of larceny. (See arrest of Guffey)
  • An employee of Hardin's Drug Store reported an incident of larceny. (See arrest of Guffey)
  • An officer of Forest City Police Dept. reported an incident of larceny, shoplifting, possession of schedule II and possession of schedule IV. (See arrests of Upton, Harrill and Weast)
  • An employee of Belk reported an incident of larceny. (See arrest of Woods)
  • An employee of Southside Motors reported an incident of breaking and entering to a motor vehicle.
  • An officer of Forest City Police Dept. reported an incident of possession of schedule VI and possession of drug paraphernalia. (See arrest of Campbell)

Arrests
  • Jerry Fay Guffey, age 51, of Grover Scruggs Rd. in Mooresboro, was arrested for two counts of larceny. He received a $2,000 secured bond.
  • Nathan Thomas Harrill, age 34, of Oak Grove Church Rd. in Ellenboro, was arrested for aid and abet shoplifting. He received a $500 secured bond.
  • Steven Elliott Weast, age 46, of US Hwy 74 East in Ellenboro, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of schedule IV and larceny. He received a $55,000 secured bond.
  • Vanessa Lynn Upton, age 51, of Oak Grove Church Rd. in Ellenboro, was arrested for larceny. She received a $1,000 secured bond.
  • Kenneth Vnorris Woods III, age 23, of Sunnybrook Lane in Ellenboro, was arrested for larceny. He received a $1,000 unsecured bond.
  • Brandon Shane Burgess, age 31, of Ken Miller Rd. in Rutherfordton, was arrested for fraud and also served with a warrant for larceny. He received a $1,000 secured bond.
  • Margie Greene Campbell, age 48, of Dusty Hollow Rd in Bostic, was cited for possession of schedule VI and possession of drug paraphernalia. She received a written promise to appear.
