The Town of Forest City is excited to welcome the 2018 World Equestrian Games to our corner of Western North Carolina!
Tryon International Equestrian Center is located just 15 minutes from downtown Forest City. With over 70 countries represented and over 500,000 spectators expected, we are thrilled to be part of this historic event.
We are celebrating the World Equestrian Games with two free concerts that will be held during games!
Saturday, September 15, join us from 7pm-9pm as we welcome the Diamond River Band from Asheville! Diamond River Band is a "young, versatile, hip party band, spanning the decades with a special emphasis on country, classic rock and current hits."
On Thursday, Sept 20, we welcome local favorite Ol' 74 Jazz Band playing from 7pm-9pm. Ol' 74 Jazz is an "eighteen member big band that performs a variety of jazz, funk, and rock charts from all decades."
Both concerts will be held in the grassy area across from Family Video on Main Street, Forest City. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and join us in celebrating the World Equestrian Games!

We invite you to visit with us during the Games and experience our small town charm! Our historic Main Street area features modern boutiques, antique shops, and "mom and pop" restaurants. Hotels/motels, big box stores and well known chain restaurants can be found on Highway 74A - College Avenue, just 2 miles from downtown.
