Comprehensive Land Use Plan

Comprehensive Land Use Plan

Adopted on October 15, 2012, the purpose of this Comprehensive Land Use Plan is to pull together and prioritize implementation strategies from previous planning initiatives and establish the policy framework for implementing the long-range growth and development objectives of the Town of Forest City. The Plan is intended for use by government agencies, planning staff, residents, property owners, developers, Board of Planning and Adjustments and elected governing bodies concerned with the Town's growth and development.

This Plan will serve as the basis for future land use and growth management decisions made in the Forest City planning area over the next 20 years. The Plan is not law, but rather a guide to assist community leaders in making decisions regarding the future development of the Town of Forest City. It is an important tool, intended to shape the future of the Town into the most desirable outcome.
