Arrests
  • Rebecca Jane Pophal, age 35, of Martinsville, VA, was arrested for larceny. She received a $100 secured bond.
  • Michael Gene Camby, age 61, of Mountain Creek Rd. in Rutherfordton, was arrested possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. He received a $5,000 secured bond.
  • Christopher Reece Ayers, age 36, of Georgia St. in Forest City, was arrested for DWI and possession of an open container. He received a $1,000 secured bond.
  • Leslie Bunnell Burkhalter, age 38, of US 64/74A in Rutherfordton, was arrested for possession of schedule II and possession of schedule IV controlled substances. She received a $1,000 secured bond.
  • Gloria Cromer Smithey, age 47, of Gold Medallion Dr. in Bostic, was served with a criminal summons for willful damage by tenant. No bond.
