Welcome to the official web page of the Forest City Police Department. The Forest City Police Department is comprised of 31 full-time sworn staff and two full-time civilian personnel. Our staff services a community of approximately 7,500 residences in an 8.2 square mile city limits.

Members of the Forest City Police Department are dedicated to the preservation of life, property and community well being. We strive to perform these actions of obligation in partnership with our citizens, without bias or prejudice. We are committed to preserving our town as a desirable place to live, learn, work and play. Upholding the values of the community and our employees through the efforts of crime prevention, problem solving and the pursuit of offenders. Forest City Police Department is open Monday through Friday 8:00AM to 5:00PM. Those needing to speak to Forest City Police Department staff during regular business hours need to call (828) 245-5555. After hours, officers can be contacted by calling Rutherford County Sheriff's Office Central Communications at (828) 286-2911. If you have an emergency, during business or non-business hours, you should call 911 immediately.
