Captain Weeks

The Support Services Division primary job responsibilities are directed at enhancing police service in a support role to ensure the officers have the resources available to accomplish departmental goals and objectives. The Support Services Division is commanded by Capt. Chris Weeks. Capt. Weeks oversees fleet management, budget operations, information technology, police radio systems, and records.  

Capt. Weeks has been employed with the Town of Forest City for almost 20 years and has served in numerous capacities within the agency. He has served as a patrol officer, a corporal and a sergeant in the patrol division. Additionally, he has served as a narcotics detective, general assignment detective and lieutenant in the Criminal Investigations Division. 

Along with his experiences within the police department he has been developing himself professionally obtaining his Associate of Science Degree in Criminal Justice with Isothermal Community College. He is currently in the process of enrolling at Western Carolina University to continue his education. Professionally Captain Weeks is a graduate of the North Carolina Justice Academy's Management Development Program. He has also been awarded the Advanced Law Enforcement Certificate from the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission as well as the Criminal Investigation Certificate Program with the North Carolina Justice Academy. He has numerous additional certifications and awards that he has earned during his years of service.
