- Police Officer Laura Hartline was sworn in as an officer for Forest City Police Department.
- Owner Phil Dangel provided an update on the Forest City Owls' upcoming season, including the introduction of new staff, new players, and the season's themed nights. The Owls' schedule can be found here.
- Town Manager Janet Mason presented the FY 25-26 Recommended Budget. The public hearing will be held at the June 2 regular meeting.
- Council approved the call for a public hearing on June 2 on the annexation request for Matheny Farms.
- Council approved the call for a public hearing on June 2 on the annexation request from Trelleborg Coated Systems US, Inc., following the Certificate of Sufficiency provided by City Clerk Emily Sain.
- Council approved the ordinance to reduce speed on Knotts Landing from 35 MPH to 25 MPH.
- Council approved the following budget amendments to the Parks & Recreation and Electric departments to allocate donations and grant funds:
- Amendment to the Parks & Recreation fund to allocate a $3,600 donation made for RC Amateur Golf Tournament expenses.
- Amendment to the Parks & Recreation fund to allocate a $5,306 grant received from Meta to purchase laptops for Mooneyham Public Library.
- Amendment to the Electric fund to appropriate a town match of $240,405 for the ARC Grant application to fund the electric tie-line expansion project.
- Presentation of the April financials by Finance Director Roxanne Stiles.
